Case Jarratt Martin has arrived
Lindsay and I had our first baby on May 28th.  He was stubborn and didn't want to come out but he finally did at 1:05 AM on Saturday morning.  We had been in the hospital since Thursday so it was a very long Memorial Day Weekend.  While New Braunfels was buzzing with tourist, live music, and tubers, we were in the hospital.  However, I wouldn't trade it for the world.  There is nothing like having a child and it's yours.  You never really understand it until it happens.  My parents and grandparents always told me that and it's true.  He weighed in at 7lbs 10 oz and was 20.5 inches long.  We finally came home on Monday morning and now the sleepless nights are taking place.  Lindsay has been taking the nights because she has the summer off and can nap during the day when Case naps.  I'm working on the ranch and continuing to write songs as well as take care of the music business.  We'll be kicking off July with a bang so the band is looking foward to that.  Kids are great!  Like Toby says, gotta getcha some!

New Single and baby on the way
We have a lot going on at the Martin household.  First off Case Jarratt Martin will be coming along about the end of May and we're getting everything ready for him.  It's like getting a roommate and you do all the work of moving them in.  Lindsay and I are excited and can't wait to have the little fella here with us.  With all the excitement of a new baby coming along we're also pushing our first single "I Love Being Me" off the new album.  It's been climbing the Texas charts quickly and I really appreciate everybody's support in requesting my songs on the radio.  The song is a kind of a tongue and cheek in that it doesn't mean exactly what it sounds like.  With a conceded title like that, it may make people wonder.  But I promise, just listen and you'll understand.  Just wrapped up my radio tour and I'm looking foward to spending a little time at home with my new family.  Got a lot of work to do but we'll be in touch with the fans through the whole process.

Last of a Dying Breed
I have a new album out that is upbeat, happy, got lots of depth and I can't wait for people to hear it!  I feel like it's my best work yet and want everybody to really listen and hopefully feel the energy coming out of this record.  We played last Friday nigth at Coupland Dancehall.  One of my all time favorite places and had a great gig.  We played some of these new songs for the first time and really felt energized on stage and could tell the crowd was drinking it up.  With everything going on in the world today..I wrote this record to make people smile.  It's got happiness written all in it.  Personally my favorite song is Last of a Dying Breed.  It's the very first song I ever wrote.  It's about my grandpa who was dying of lung cancer in November of 2001.  We knew his time was limited.  I was in my dorm room at Tarleton and started this song.  It was about halfway completed when I got word he had passed.  I rushed home that night and finished it before going to sleep.  True to the core.  I hope this song really touches the ones who knew him personally.  He was indeed a true American cowboy.

2011
We have a lot of cool things going on this year and I just wanted to share it with you good Texas Music Lovers!  First off and most importantly Lindsay and I are having a baby in May and we just found it's going to be a boy!! We are very excited and can't wait for the day to get here.  Everybody has been telling us that is is a girl but they were wrong.  Maybe next time.  Also second in line to that is a new album that will be out for your listening pleasure in March.  We're shooting for a release date on March 4th when we'll be at Coupland Dancehall.  What better venue to release our record in!  The album will have 10 tracks on it, all original material and I gotta say I'm proud of each tune.  If you like diversity in tempos, song types, and instrument tones you will love this record.  It's got it all!  We also have some really cool shows booked for this year in new venues.  I'm very excited about Billy's Ice in New Braunfels as well as Poteet Strawberry Festival in April.  New baby and new album coming in the same year!  Wow what a deal!

Welcome!

This is our first diary entry and there is a lot of cool stuff to talk about.  First off we have a new single out on Texas radio called The Lady She Is!  It's climbing the charts so we need everybody to request it at your local radio station!  The band has been traveling a lot lately all over the state and has had the opportunity to open for some outstanding acts!  I am in the process of writing new material and will be recording my sophmore album starting November 29th!  So look for it to be out next year.  Thanks for stopping by and come see us at a show near you!
